June 14: Speeding through the sea on an electric foil (with handlebars)!

After that, I continued watching many videos on YouTube.
People gliding on waves, catching the wind, and dancing like wings.
The more I watched, the more I became convinced that this is truly the era of Wingfoil.
And, the number of competitors in Japan is still small.
If I start now, I'm sure I can catch the wind of the pioneers.
Thinking so, I decided to challenge myself once more.

This time, I found a school that offers electric foil lessons and applied.
There were two types of electric boards there:
One was a scooter-like type with handlebars,
and the other was a type ridden like surfing, without handlebars.
The one with handlebars looked easier, so I started with that.
I learned my lesson from the previous towing experience.
I decided to take small steps and make steady progress.

The instructor teaching me was a renowned teacher in that field.
Monopolizing the teacher's time felt a little daunting, but
at the same time, it was also a truly honorable moment.

Perhaps because the teacher's instruction was excellent,
I was able to float and ride much faster than when I was being towed.
However, I would sink after riding for a short while.
But strangely, it wasn't painful.
Even for a short time, I could glide on the water's surface and feel the wind.
Even sinking afterward was met with laughter.
Unlike last time, it wasn't just a tough time.

With handlebars, it's easier to balance forward, backward, left, and right.
There's also a sense of security from being able to lean, allowing me to surrender myself to the wind and water.

I finished the lesson having had a lot of fun.
That said, I'm still not able to ride stably.
However, I definitely made a step forward today.
Between the wind and the sea, I felt like I could see my path a little more clearly.

At Enoshima, July to August is swimming season, and beach houses open. Many are already quite ready, aren't they?
